I thought it’d be fun to do some quick little posts briefly outlining what essential oils I grab for different situations. They won’t be long and drawn out, they’ll be from MY personal experience for what I use for ME and MY family. Please consult your own doctor, natural practitioner or midwife before trying yourself.
You know the times…
…suddenly your toddler is puking. It’s so sad to see it happen. What can you do besides make them comfortable?
…you feel yourself coming down with a fever and a wave of nausea that’s unbelievable.
…you have morning sickness, and you’d like to be able to function besides just nibbling a cracker and handing one to your toddler. (No family, I am not pregnant!)
Enter the Ginger, Peppermint, Lavender Cocktail.
When those situations arise, we mix 2 drops Ginger, 1 drop Peppermint, 1 drop Lavender in 1/2 tsp coconut oil and then rub it on our feet, stomach and back of the neck. Within 15 minutes we’re feeling terrific. When I had a bad infection, and when Mac and my Nieces were sick with a throw up bug, within 15 minutes of rubbing it on we went from just resting on the couch to falling asleep! If you were worried about not falling asleep, I wouldn’t add the lavender. Make it easier on yourself and mix up 10X this, putting it in a small, well labeled jar.
The Nausea Cocktail
20 drops Ginger Essential Oil
10 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
10 Lavender Essential Oil (Omit for non drowsy)
1 tbsp+2 tsp coconut or other carrier oil such as sweet almond or apricot.
Mix well, label the jar well and use as the need arises!
